Honored to receive this recognition at SurvCon and grateful for the opportunity to serve an organization that plays such an important role in our profession

I’ve recently completed my two-year term as President of the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors (NJSPLS), and I’m thankful to have had the opportunity to serve alongside so many dedicated professionals committed to advancing our industry.

What I value most from this experience is a deeper appreciation for the strength of this Society and the members who volunteer their time and energy to move our profession forward.

Surveying has always been grounded in precision, trust, and responsibility—but it’s also evolving. During my term, I encouraged a progressive direction that embraces technologies such as 3D laser scanning, LiDAR-equipped drones, thermal imaging, and other advanced geospatial tools. These capabilities allow us to deliver greater efficiency, deeper insight, and expanded value to the environmental, engineering, and commercial development communities we support.

Equally important, advancing technology helps position surveying as an exciting and relevant career path for the next generation. Sustaining our profession depends on attracting young professionals, and innovation plays an important role demonstrating the meaningful and dynamic future surveying offers.

Progress in our profession dosen’t happen all at once, but through consistent effort and a shared commitment to improvement. I’m grateful to NJSPLS for the opportunity to serve and remain committed to supporting its mission — and to helping to protect and advance the profession we all care about.
